GRAPHITE STEEL CYLINDERS

  Graphite steel rollers are mainly composed of perlite with spherical graphite and carbide. Graphite steel rollers are stronger than cast iron rollers and harder than other steel rollers. The characteristic of graphite rolls is better fire resistance and scale adhesion.

PEARLITIC NODULAR CAST IRON (PEARLITIC SPHEROIDAL GRAPHITE)

  Pearlitic rolls are composed of nodular graphite and carbides arranged in a peralitic matrix. Its properties are similar to Indefinite Chill, except that the graphite structure changes from flakes to spheroidal shapes. Pearlitic rolls will have greater strength than indefinite cooling.

ACICULAR NODULAR CAST IRON CYLINDERS (ACICULAR SPHEROIDAL GR

The acicular roller, alloyed with nickel, manganese and chromium with a bainitic-acicular-martensitic matrix, has a UTS quality, hardness and wear resistance superior to SGP. Semi-continuous carbides maintain wear resistance, while at the same time exhibiting high crack resistance.

INDEFINITE ALLOY COOLED CAST IRON CYLINDERS (ICDP ROLLS)

Indefinite alloy chilled cast rolls are high grain Ni rolls with fine graphite deposits on the surface. The hardness of these rolls can be changed by adjusting the chemical composition or by changing the casting method, making it possible to tailor the hardness of the roll to particular applications.
